Ideally SA would be fielding a team at some point in the series that looked like: 1. Keaton Jennings 2. Jason Roy 3. Faf du Plessis 4. AB DeVilliers 5. DeKock 6. Bavuma 7. Morris 8. Steyn 9. Rabada 10. Morkel 11. Harmer 12th man K Pietersen

That was a spanking. Test sides should not get bowled out in 36 overs, and in just over 1 session. SA might want to get ready for a few more dry wickets.
Overall, a shocking performance by SA....self inflicted wounds gave them no chance. The Morkel and Maharaj no-balls were very expensive.

Pitches are meant to deteriorate on the 4th & 5th days. This one was very dry to start with and the really hot weather over the last few days just meant it started to crumble a bit earlier. Was probably a bit like some of the Indian pitches but with a bit more grass on the first day. Plus early July is very late for the first Test of the summer because of the Champions Trophy.

H&P. Reckon questions maybe asked about so many wickets falling in one day, then again it's Lord's so probably not

Moeen's 6-53 are the best figures by a spinner bowling England to victory in the fourth innings since Underwood's 7-32 v NZ Lord's 1969
Ah, good old Underwood

Groundsman must be on MDMA.

Bowler with a long beard against batsman with a truncated long beard. Which beard will come out on top?

Yes the ANC continue to fuck up their sport as well as the economy with their ideological social engineering that only deals with demand and not supply.
Only 5% of South African Schools have the facililies to play cricket excluding the vast majority of black south africans from ever having the chance. Yet there still implement " transformation " quotas on provincial and nation team.
It's a lot easier though to play the race card than having to deal with the root of the problem. That's the ANC all over.
Funny I don't see bafana bafana meeting any minority quotas. That's OK though.

Think he had his card marked that he was too pale and wouldn't be picked again given there only 5 places for WHITEY so can understand why went Kolpak. When he was injured a while back Morne Morkel was told he should retire as he and Steyn would never be picked together again.

Slightly ironic they have gone from an Evil Apartheid side to one where they have to an average of 6 non white players (incl 2 black Africans) over each year. As said I think there should be more resources poured in to give black cricketers opportunities & maybe even quotas in province sides but once it gets to the national side it should be purely merit. Means when Rabada is suspended they have to find a black replacement not the best replacement
